The Tango Goddess suggested that we meet at Buenos Aires Verde for lunch last week. It’s a sweet little organic cafe that opened after we left in December.

The atmosphere was that of a homey diner with natural food. The palette of the restaurant included teal, pink, and green.
Before lunch was served, we received a plate of various bread types with some pumpkin spread. The waitress also brought small glasses of ginger lemonade.

I chose the polenta with mushrooms and spinach. Toasted sesame seeds were sprinkled on top. It was comfort food.

The goddess chose the rice and vegetables wok which was also delicious.

After lunch I ordered a Colombian espresso, and the goddess ordered a pot of tea. Isn’t the pot cute?

Buenos Aires Verde also sells grains, cereals, and nuts in the back. They are open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday and offer wifi. The location is in Palermo Hollywood at Gorriti 5657 (between Fitzroy and Bonplan).

Oh my goodness, that looks delightful! I wish I could have gone when I was there. How was the Colombian espresso?
glad you didn’t order the espresso iced. Heaven knows what they would have done to you! The place looks great. A must visit on my next trip to BsAs!
i wish we could visit you!
What a darling place to eat! I have never been served a pumpkin spread at a restaurant and it is a wonderful idea to have with breads instead of butter. It is so much fun to read your posts!
How cute! I love that kind of place. It’s so homey.
Nice pictures. You really get the feel for the ambiance. I think Santiago needs more places like that. There used to be one I liked in the centro, then it closed. Then, there was another one I liked, and it closed…lather, rinse, repeat.
What a great find! That teapot is adorable.
